Pubs, Priests & Prostitutes (Saturday 24th May)
Come along to a city tour with a difference! The Pubs, Priests and Prostitutes tour introduces you to a world full of contradictions with prostitutes, priests and pubs figuring highly through the ages. The one and a half hour-long tour consists of a gentle stroll around Lichfield City whilst a Green Badge Guide tells you interesting stories connected to the sites.
The tour sets off from the Lichfield Garrick at 2pm, and costs just £2.75 per person. To book your ticket, pop into the Tourist Information Centre at the Lichfield Garrick, or call 01543 412112.

Bluebell Woods (19th April - 18th May)
Three stunning walks at Yoxall Lodge take in the magical carpet of Bluebells which covers the woodland floor. Set in a beautiful rolling parkland, Yoxall Lodge was once a Forest Lodge in the heart of the ancient Needwood Forest. You will find picnic sites and benches in the woodlands and a garden marquee that serves a delicious selection of homemade cakes and cream teas from 10.30am to 5pm. Find out more.
Flower Festival at Erasmus Darwin House (24th - 27th May)
This spring bank holiday Erasmus Darwin House will be holding it's first ever Flower Festival when the museum will be decked out with all sorts of displays and floral arrangements. Each room is being decorated by a different local Flower Guild using flowers, plants and greenery matching the colours or themes of that room.
This four day festival takes place between Saturday 24th May and Tuesday 27th May from 10am to 5pm (4pm Tuesday). Admission to the museum during that weekend is £5 (£4 conc.) and tickets can be bought in advance or on the day.
Lichfield Greenhill Bower (Monday 26th May)
Come and experience the the traditional street carnival which originates from the 12th century and consists of floats, bands, morris dancers and much more! It's a fun day out in Beacon Park with lots of family entertainment, large fun fair, trade and charity stalls and band display.
Free Cathedral Tours Throughout May
Throughout May the Cathedral are having the following special tours open to the public:
Treasures - including the 'Hacket Silver' and the 'Lang Commission' plus the Cathedral Library (not usually open to the public)
Statues and Carvings - Savour the skill of craftsmen in stone and wood
Angel Family - 'Hunt for an Angel', a tour suitable for families and all ages
Angels - a tour suitable for adults
Stained Glass - a glimpse of the Cathedral's fabulous 16th - 19th century windows
Roof - a rare visit up the Cathedral spire for stunning views over the Lichfield. (£5 per ticket)

Fairtrade City Service (Sunday 8th June)
A special fairtrade service of celebration and thanksgiving for Lichfield achieving Fairtrade City status is to be held in the cathedral at 6.00 pm on Sunday 8th June. Everyone is welcome. The preacher will be Paul Chandler, Chief Executive of Traidcraft. There will be music, dance and drama and involvement of local school pupils.
Humph Remembered in Festival Concert (Friday 11th July)
Humphrey Littleton, the jazz trumpeter and chairman of BBC Radio panel game I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue who died last month, will be remembered in a special concert on Friday 11 July as part of the Lichfield Festival. Humph Remembered will feature the current Humphrey Lyttelton Band playing Humph favourites and originals and will include special guests Wally Fawkes and Brian Perkins. Find out more.
