VisitBritain 5 Star Guest House

All the national assessing bodies (VisitBritain*, VisitScotland, Visit Wales and the AA) now assess hotels and guest accommodation (including B&Bs) to the same criteria and award one to five stars. The star ratings reflect the overall quality of the experience. When choosing your accommodation look for the Quality Rose, the official marque of the Enjoy England national tourist board rating scheme.

Star ratings, from one to five, are used to assess the standard of the quality you can expect for hotels and bed & breakfast accommodation.

AA Breakfast Award

Guest accommodation is also eligible for both Breakfast and Dinner Awards, signified by egg cup and pie logos respectively. These are awarded for meals that exceed the quality requirements of the establishment’s star rating, but are not of Rosette standard.
